120 Numbers are great for math problems, counting, and looking at your bank account, but when it comes to a player in any sport, they can often take on a much deeper meaning and gain a much more meaningful meaning when they are tied to their identity. This is true even for Ohio State football players. You may have noticed that we often count down the days until the beginning of college football season using the jersey number of a former player, or that we publish lists of the best players who have ever worn a certain number on the front and back of their jerseys. The number of a favorite player can even be memorialized in jewelry or tattoos. It is worth mentioning that the fine folks at Ohio State just recently updated their online roster, and there were some numbers assigned to the freshmen summer enrollees as well as a change in jersey numbers for some players already on the team.( Click here to review the Ohio State Buckeyes Jersey.) Which NFL Jerseys Are Stitched? Here’s what you need to know about what are some of the types of NFL jerseys that are stitched. There are five basic types of NFL jerseys, two of which are stitched. Nike Limited — *Stitched* The Nike Limited Vapor jerseys are my favorite jersey. Additionally, they have stitched graphics. These are not authentic jerseys, but they still have some of the premium finishes, like stitched graphics, and are more affordable than the Elite jerseys. You can get a stitched NFL jersey for the lowest price. True to size. Nike Elite — *Stitched* These are the stitched NFL jerseys,. This is the closest you can get as a fan to wearing what the players wear on the field. Its slimmer fit mimics the athletic fit of the players’ jerseys, with stitched graphics and authentic paneling. The Elite jerseys feature all the premium finishes. Nike Game — *Not Stitched* The Nike Game jerseys are popular fan jerseys due to price point. It has the same look as a jersey, but it is a replica, so it’s a bit cheaper than premium jerseys. The jersey fits true to size, but it is not stitched. Nike Legend — *Not Stitched* The Nike Legend is unique compared to other NFL jerseys. It fits almost like a standard t-shirt, and is more affordable than other jerseys. I was a bit shocked how much I liked the fit. True to size. Lightweight, and easy to wear. This jersey is not stitched. Mitchell & Ness Authentic Jersey — *Stitched* These Mitchell & Ness NFL jerseys are the throwback jerseys. There may be some differences in the sizing and design depending on the era of the jersey, but I have found these Mitchell & Ness Authentic jerseys to be looser fitting. They use numerical sizing. NFL Pro Line Jersey — *Not Stitched* The NFL Pro Line Jersey is not made by Nike. It is a more affordable replica jersey that might be a nice option for those on a budget. This jersey has a baggy, loose fit, and you may need to size it down. In addition to the Nike Elite jerseys (which are the authentic jerseys), Nike Limited jerseys also have stitched graphics. All other types of NFL jerseys will not have embroidered names, numbers, or graphics. Stitched NFL jerseys Nike Elite and Nike Limited jerseys are the two types of stitched NFL jerseys. The Nike Elite jerseys are the authentic jerseys, meaning they are the closest you can get to wearing what the players wear on the field. Although Nike Limited jerseys are not authentic, they have a high level of design features, such as stitched graphics. Think of Nike Limited jerseys as a hybrid jersey between replicas and authentic jerseys. Nike Limited jerseys offer some premium features at a lower price point than Nike Elite jerseys.
