It employs 4,000 people and recently unveiled plans to invest about 160 crore in expanding its manufacturing capacity. The expansion is expected to increase capacity from 1.5 million tyres a month to 2.5 million tyres a month. The company aims to expand its business in different regions of India.

Pirelli

As of 2016, the company is present in over 163 countries and plans to expand to around 18,000 points of sale by 2021. Founded in 1907, Yokohama India has been supplying high-quality passenger car tyres in the country since 2007. The company operates one manufacturing plant in Haryana.

Yokohama is one of the top-ranked tyre brands in Japan, with its tyres rated highly by JD Power, which rates consumer satisfaction for passenger car tires. In other categories, however, Yokohama falls behind the leading brands. In a recent study by J.D. Power, Yokohama scored 718 points out of a possible 1,000.
