What is the exact syllabus of CAT 2022?

The CAT syllabus is vast and generalized. The syllabus is not fixed by IIMs but still the questions are generally based on Moderate math and some english topics. This test is a computer based test held every year in India by one of the IIMs. Before checking the CAT 2022 syllabus,  it is essential to get an idea of some important topics from each section namely quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning. Important information of the weightage for CAT exam syllabus 2022:

Mainly the CAT syllabus 2022 is divided into 3 sections namely verbal reasoning, Data interpretation and logical reasoning, Quantitative analysis the weightage for these 3 is provided in this section. 

There are some important topics which are asked repeatedly every year in the CAT exam. 

The Quantitative Aptitude section, in this section, 14 Non-mcq questions are asked from a total of 22 questions. The maximum number of questions are expected from the Arithmetic and algebra topics. About 68 percent of the questions are asked from these two topics. 

Data interpretation and logical reasoning Weightage:

For the CAT 2022 syllabus this section is very important as 22-24 questions are asked from this section. About 6-8 TITA  based questions are asked out of 22. As this is a logical reasoning section, one has to have a good fundamental knowledge to score well as the questions asked are logic based. Till CAT 2017 this section was divided into two main parts with about 16 questions each in DI and LR. 

CAT Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Syllabus Weightage:

CAT syllabus 2022 has Verbal Ability and reading Comprehension section. This section is also very important from exam’s point of view as about 24 questions are being asked from this section from which 19 questions are NON MCQ type questions. The greater number of questions asked from this section are from the Reading Comprehension part . The important syllabus topics from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section are –

Reading and Passage based questions, Para jumbles, Para summary, Odd sentences and others the maximum number of questions are expected from the Reading and Passage based part about 16 questions are expected from this part.
