Teachable Review 2022: My Honest Review

The need for online course design platforms has surged as online learning has become the new normal!

Teachable is one such famous online course platform. I’m writing this Teachable Review after trying out its features and creating a few courses using it.

We’ll learn about its amazing features, price plans, pros and downsides, best alternatives, and who should buy it in his review post!

For my classes, I use Thinkific, but I’ve been testing Teachable for the past two months to see whether it’s any better. So, without further ado, let’s get this party started!

What is Teachable?

Teachable Free Plan

Teachable just released a free plan that allows you to create limitless courses and enrol an unlimited number of students!

You may also design a variety of courses and basic quizzes, as well as set up a few integrations.

Teachable.com branding appears when you sign up for a free Teachable subscription. This signifies that your free website is a Teachable sub-domain.

For example, schooldesi.teachable.com is the URL for my free Teachable subscription. Switch to its premium services if you wish to eliminate the branding and have your own domain.

Basic capabilities include access to the Students tab, Bundled Courses, Course Design Templates, and Comments, among others. It also allows you to keep the pricing set to “free,” which is useful for offering free courses.

Teachable’s sole drawback is that it charges ten per cent plus one dollar on every transaction, which is a ridiculous amount. However, we have a solution to this problem!

The free plan feature that I enjoyed the best was the ability to manually enrol Teachable students in your classes by inputting their names and email address. As a result, you may easily sell your course on another platform with a minimal transaction fee, such as Instamojo.

Then you may manually enrol them in your Teachable free plan. The disadvantage is that your students will not be able to access your courses right away. However, if you’re looking to save some money, this is your best option!

Teachable Student Interface

The Student Interface appears to be fairly good. Teachable allows you to choose from three stunning design themes to create the perfect course arrangement.

Every course has a progress metre next to it. To begin a class, students can use the convenient Start button.

Although there isn’t an opportunity to initiate conversations like Thinkific, students can write comments under each lesson and even submit files from:

Teachable is now only accessible for iOS devices. However, it also works well on mobile browsers.

Playback of videos, audio and other file kinds is seamless at Hubdesk. Overall, the student interface is quick and easy to use, making studying enjoyable and trouble-free.

Teachable Drip Content

Drip Material allows you to schedule your content to be released at a later date. This functionality may be used in lectures and courses where the learner must devote time.

It’s also a smart idea to release your unfinished courses and then finish them at your leisure!

Teachable Drip Schedule’s sole limitation is that you can only drip information by chapter. As a result, all of the lessons in a chapter will be available at the same time!

This difficulty may be solved by establishing a new chapter for each lesson. However, this may make managing your course content awkward and difficult.

Teachable Upsells

Although this isn’t really a lesson type, you may use it to advertise your most popular courses and products.

You may make an upsell card using Teachable. So you may create a price plan for a course or a coaching session.

After that, you may change the description and add a call-to-action button. Your upsell card is finished, and you can use it to entice your audience across numerous classes and pages!

Teachable Landing Page Builder

The most significant part of any online course is the landing page. Teachable’s Landing Page Builder not only assists you in designing important pages for your course, but it also allows you to integrate custom HTML or CSS scripts.
