Mohare hill station is sited at an elevation of 3,300m above sea level. You can view the glorious sunrise and sunset views over the glittering mountains. The viewpoint of Poonhill is another famous part of the trek. Trip to the off beaten site of the Annapurna region is truly an incredible experience. You get to explore the hills, mountains, rivers, and forests of Oaks, Bamboo, and Pine.

How to reach Mohare Danda

Moahre Danda Trek begins from Kathmandu and we travel for about 5-6 hours to arrive at Pokhara. From Pokhara we drive 3 hours to reach Galeshwor in Myagdi Disctrict. From Galeshwor, we walk toward Bans Kharka which is a stunning local village with terraced corn and rice farming. On our route towards our final destination, we hike to Naangi from Bans Kharka. You pass along beautiful villages and impressive landscapes. From Naangi we trek forward Mohare Danda (3,300m) as we pass along the oak and rhododendron forests. Observe breathtaking panoramic view of Mt Fishtail, Annapurna south and Mt Dhaulagiri.

In the evening, we can observe sunset from Mohare Danda station. The hike from Mohare Danda to reach Ghorepani will take us 5-6 hours. You’ll pass along tea-houses from where you can enjoy the view of Himalayas and a cup of hot tea. Early in the morning we hike to Poon Hill, to catch the sunrise from the top of the hill. You’ll be fascinated with the view of sun kissing the Mt Annapurna, Mt Dhaulagiri and many others. After enjoying the sunrise from Poon Hill we trek towards, Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the home for Gurung Inhabitants with beautiful commune and happy people. From Ghandruk, hike to Nayapul, as it is the last of our trek.

You’ll follow the trails paved with stones and walk through beautiful terrain. Enjoy a stunning view of Himalayas as we hike to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we drive to Pokhara and from Pokhara to Kathmandu. 

Best time to do Mohare Danda Trek

The best time to trek the Mohare Danda is Spring (March – May) and Autumn (September – November) with cool temperature and clear blue sky. 
It is also possible to hike in December and January  but be thoughtful about the weather and snowy climate.
