Mitsubishi FUSO ROSA minibus – the first all-round safety driver assistance system in Hong Kong

The Mitsubishi FUSO ROSA has arrived in Hong Kong. With its new exterior design and comprehensive safety driving assistance system, the ROSA will be the first minibus in Hong Kong to offer a safety driving system that will play a leading role in enhancing the safety of passengers and drivers and reducing the incidence of traffic accidents.

4 unique safety features
The Advanced Emergency Brake System (AEBS) system includes a warning and automatic braking function, with 3 stages of warning and braking to avoid collisions with Mitsubishi 2023 in front or to minimise damage in the event of a collision.

Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
When a vehicle drifts out of its original lane without signalling a turn, the system will issue warning lights and sirens to avoid a collision. The system is activated when the vehicle is travelling above 60 km/h.

Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
The ESP collects all data from the vehicle to reduce the risk of understeer (pushing the head), oversteer (drifting the tail) and rollover on sharp bends.

Hill Start Assist (MT – EZGO / DUONIC – Hill Start Assist System) The vehicle is difficult to start on steep diagonal slopes with a heavy load. Hill Start Assist helps the driver to start smoothly on the slope without fear of engine stalling or the vehicle slipping back.

The ROSA has also been revamped in appearance with a new, more aerodynamic headline design, which helps to reduce air resistance when driving, thereby reducing fuel consumption. The new headlamps and fog lamps are LED lamps, which are more durable, more visible and more transparent than conventional lamps, making it easier for drivers to see the road and traffic ahead.

The ROSA’s interior design has also been significantly updated, with a streamlined multifunction instrument panel and ergonomically designed centre console pogo stick and manual system, providing more space for the driver to move around and thus reducing driving fatigue, as well as providing more information about the vehicle including safety system alerts, giving both the driver and passengers peace of mind.

The new Mitsubishi FUSO ROSA is powered by a Euro 6 2.988 litre diesel engine, delivering 175 hp / 3,500 rpm and 43.8 kg-m of torque. The exclusive Duonic automatic mechanical (+/-) gearbox allows for faster rotation and reduced gear-shifting losses, while the ROSA is equipped with German BlueTec post-emissions technology, which reduces emissions and improves air quality through the DPF diesel particulate filter and SCR urea system.

The ROSA is equipped with a choice of 8 to 29 seats to suit all types of business, and a double tailgate minibus for rehabilitation purposes to suit the operational needs of residential and elderly homes.

In terms of stability and safety, the driver’s seat airbag, together with the aforementioned Active Driving Assistance System, can reduce the number of accidents on the road. The new anti-roll bar on the headrest provides greater stability on bumpy roads and greatly enhances the comfort of passengers.
