Lysergic acid diethylamide, or LSD, is a drug that changes the way a person thinks and feels. LSD can cause your blood pressure to go up, your heart rate to go up, and your pupils to get bigger. Most people take this drug by mouth, but it can also be injected (with a needle) or breathed in (breathing it into lungs). Some slang or street names for LSD are “Acid,” “Kool-Aid,” and “Blotter Paper.”
