  • Sugar syrup is made with two main ingredients which are water and solid sugar.
  •   The ratio between water and sugar is 1:1.
  •   You can prepare sugar syrup at home easily. All you need is one cup of sugar and one cup of water. Boil them together and your sugar syrup is ready.
  •    Sugar syrup is full of calories and sugar.
  •   The consistency of sugar syrup is thick.
  • Sugar syrup is used in many recipes which improve the taste of the dish.
  •  If you don’t want to make sugar syrup at home there are many companies which provide you ready made sugar syrup.

·   Corn Syrup:

· Corn syrup is also a type of food syrup.

· Corn syrup is made with starch.

· Corn syrup also tastes sweet as sugar syrup.

· You can also make corn syrup at home. All you need is 2 cups of sugar, ¾ cup water, ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

· There are two types of corn syrup available: light and hard corn syrup.

· Many companies also provide you with readymade corn syrup.

· Corn syrup is also known as glucose syrup.

· Corn syrup used in many recipes to enhance the flavour.

But sugar is available in solid form and corn syrup is available in liquid form. Corn syrup contains high fructose and 24% of water in it. Sugar is dry and granulated. Corn syrup is used in soft drinks, ice creams.

Sugar and corn syrup are almost the same. The difference between them is that Glucose and fructose are combined in Sugar. but not in corn syrup.
