However in the case of the divorce certificate or online marriage in Pakistan certain restrictions are placed on the wife, in context of the traditional beliefs of the sharia law. While the Act of 1939 was enacted to give women the right to divorce through the intervention of a court, 10 it has not yet provided Muslim women with the absolute power in the delegated power to divorce.

Statutory Law Women:

 According to both the sharialaw and statutory law women are only permitted to renounce their marriages under certain conditions. This is not in line with the principles of equality for women that are proclaimed in various international treaties on divorce certificate or online marriage in Pakistan. For example, Bangladesh is a signatory to several international instruments designed to guarantee gender equality.

Human Rights:

These include the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 (UDHR) and Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women 1979 (CEDAW) however, it isn’t convinced by the requirements of article (2) and (1) (c) because they are in conflict with Sharialaw that is based upon religious texts such as the Holy Quran and Sunnah 11.This inequity, that is widely recognized across Pakistan, not Rights 1948.
