TurboTax

If you’re looking to install TurboTax on your PC, there are some important things you need to know before getting started. The way you install TurboTax on your computer will depend on the type of operating system you have installed and what version it is of Windows or Mac OS X. You can try to install TurboTax without CD.

To use the software, you’ll also need to download and install .NET Framework 3.0 or higher if your computer doesn’t already have it installed. The good news is that TurboTax makes the installation process easy, regardless of your Windows version or how old it might be.

Download TurboTax Software

TurboTax is an online tax software that can be downloaded onto your desktop or laptop. You can find the download link by clicking the Download button on their home page. Once you download the Tax Software, you’ll need to install it. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Double-click the file you just downloaded and follow the prompts until the installation completes.
  2. Open TurboTax and enter your information as prompted.
  3. Answer any questions about your financial situation that apply to you.
  4. Click next, and you should see a confirmation screen stating, ‘Your return has been completed.’
  5. Print or email the confirmation page for your records.

Create an Account

After selecting the TurboTax option, you will need to create an account. This simple process can be done by entering your email address, creating a password and agreeing to the terms of service. You should also enter your Social Security number in this step, as it will be needed when completing your tax return.

Once you have created an account, you are ready to start your tax return.

Uninstall Previous Versions

Before installing TurboTax, you’ll need to uninstall any previous software versions. To do this, open Control Panel > Programs and Features. Select TurboTax from the list of installed programs, then select Uninstall.

Follow the steps that appear on-screen. Once you’ve uninstalled all previous software versions, restart your computer before proceeding with the installation.

Insert the TurboTax disc or download the file into your computer’s CD or DVD drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it onto your hard drive when prompted. You can now start using TurboTax.

Install your Software

After downloading TurboTax for your computer, the next step is installing it. This process will vary depending on your operating system, but the steps are very similar in most cases.

  1. Double-click the file that you downloaded (TurboTax.exe).
  2. Follow the instructions for installing software as prompted by your operating system and wait for the installation to complete before continuing to the next step.
  3. Open the program and select Get Started to continue with filing your taxes this year.
  4. You can now get started filing your taxes right away. The only thing left to do is enter some basic information about yourself.
