How To Draw Cheetah Print – Let’s Get Initiated!

Step 1

Drawing a pattern like a cheetah print may look complicated, but it can be done by building many small shapes. For that reason, we’ll take it slow in this guide on how to draw a cheetah footprint. To get started, we’ll start with a small portion of the blob pattern. As you can see from our contact picture, these little dots will be rather varied.

They will primarily be drawn as thin, irregular oval shapes. Some will be filled with black, while others will have small holes. For this section, the forms will be smaller and more solid. Once you have a look you want, you’re ready for step 2.

Step 2

We will go further in creating the design for this step of your cheetah print drawing. As you go deeper, the spots will get a little bigger. Some will also have white spots on the inside or a gap on the side. However, there is no wrong way to do this, and as long as you maintain consistency, you can vary the design a bit!

Step 3

You’re starting to get the hang of it now, so you shouldn’t have a problem with the next steps in this guide on how to draw a cheetah footprint. These next dots will continue in the center of the pattern and will also be relatively large compared to the ones you drew in the first step. They will also have white dots on the inside of many of them, as you can see in the reference image.

Step 4

We’ll change direction slightly for this part of your cheetah print drawing. These will move up, and as they do, they will get a bit smaller, like the ones in the first step. If you draw a face and neck for the cheetah later, they will extend to the neck.

Step 5

In this step of our guide on drawing a cheetah print, you will remove the highest points of the points. These will be the closest to the cheetah’s face and, therefore, the smallest on the cheetah. These last dots will be more like thick ballpoint pen dots covering the space on the front. You can always add even more points or take some away if you prefer since this is your drawing, after all! Once satisfied with the number of issues, continue with the last steps.

Step 6

This last part of drawing your cheetah print is a bit more optional, as it involves removing the face of the cheetah that these dots are on. We show you how you can draw the front of the cheetah, so if you want to add it, you can carefully follow the image to create the majestic face of the cheetah. However, this is one way to finish this drawing.

You can also incorporate this pattern into another picture; there are many options! Perhaps you could design an elegant dress with this pattern or create a quilt with the design to unleash your inner interior designer. These are just a few ideas, but what creative ways will you finish this awesome cheetah print drawing of yours?

Step 7

Now that you’ve finished drawing the spots and pattern, it’s time for the fun final step in this guide on how to remove a cheetah footprint. You can pull out your favorite artistic tools and media to add beautiful colors to your image! In our reference image, we show you the realistic colors of a cheetah that you could use, but you don’t have to if you want a more stylistic look.

You can incorporate your favorite bright colors for some fun designs with this cheetah print! You can experiment with excellent art mediums like colored paints, markers, pens, or anything else you like for fantastic color variations.
