Different ways you can give Zakat

Zakat is one of the best things to bring you close to your Creator and boost your faith. As quoted by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) (PBUH), Zakat will shade the believer on the day of resurrection.

There are many ways to offer Zakat:

Money

Islam makes it obligatory for all Muslims to give Zakat to the poor. Whether you give it directly to someone who needs it or gives it through a Zakat foundation, the critical point here is to fulfill your duty as a Muslim and share what Allah has blessed you with.

Zakat in the form of money is one of the essential types as it is the instant way to help your brothers and sisters struggling for food, health supplies, clothes, etc.

Some donations can be considered a consistent charity or Sadaqah Jaariyah, and the reward continues even after the person dies.

To whom can you give Zakat?

Zakat is given to eight Asnaf, as mentioned in the holy Quran. It is mandatory to give Zakat to all eight asnaf, like the needy, those in bondage or debt, those working in the way of Islam, and the wayfarer.

Being a Muslim, you can sign up with any Zakat-donating company and give your Zakat to them, and it will reach the needy. However, finding a reliable and reputable company that will do the needful for you is essential.

You can full your Zakat digitally

It is highly encouraged for Muslims to offer Zakat digitally. Check out the proper payment modes and make payment as per your convenience.

Time

Some may think giving charity is just in the form of money, but there are other ways. Donating time is an excellent way to give charity. Go out, speak to the homeless, share their grief, give your time to the poor by teaching them, and spread Islam; it is all a part of a charity.

A smile

The Prophet (SAW) (PBUH) said, “your smile is a charity to your brother.” So, the simple act of moving your facial muscle can open the doors of Heaven for you. Passing on a smile to someone upset fills them with happiness and hope. Why not do it?

Picking up a stone from the road

The Prophet (SAW) (PBUH) said there are several doors of goodness, one of which is to remove the object from the road, lead the blind, helping someone with what they need. Well, there are so many ways to give to charity. Support the feeble with your strength, listen to the deaf, love good and forbid evil; these are all part of a charity. Remember, every act of goodness is charity.

So, my dear sisters and brothers, these are some ways to give charity. However, Zakat, in the form of money, is obligatory for all Muslims. And if you want my Zakat to go to the right hands, choose a reliable company for it. Calculate the right amount of Zakat according to your earnings and give it yearly to support your brothers and sisters and fulfill your duty towards Islam.
