Different forms of Vastu

Looking at it carefully, Vastu translates to “the science of architecture”. This system of Indian architecture is derive from the Vedas and is said to be older than a few thousand years. These Yogis from ancient India went through a lot of meditation and penance throughout millennia to attain answers to the questions from the Cosmos themselves. And all that knowledge was compile in the form of the Vedas, a part of the Sathya Veda, a sub-part of the Atharva Veda.

A lot of evidence points toward the existence of Vastu dosh back in ancient times, through epics such as Ramayan and Mahabharat, which help paint a clear picture of the art of building houses, palaces, and a lot more.

As per the history itself, the first Vastu Shastra application can be found in the ancient cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, which are estimate to be around 3000 years old. There are far more interesting incidents that pertain to the origin of Vastu Purush in Indian Mythology.

So now the question must come to mind, what exactly is Vastu Shastra? To answer that, Vastu Shastra is an ancient manual written in the language of Sanskrit about architecture base on a certain set of principles. Any form of noncompliance with this is term Vastu dosh. The term “dosh” generally translates to the word “fault”, but it implies an imbalance of sorts in the energies in the house.

If every house is full of energy. Suppose the creation of the rooms in the house and the positions of objects within the house is by the said energy. In that case, it is believe that the house is a Vastu-compliant house to bring wealth, health, professional success, matrimony, and a lot of knowledge.

In contrast, a house that has a lot of Vastu Dosh can end up harming massively.

If we were to start taking notes about the different kinds of Vastu, Then we could spend the entire day and not even cover half of it. But even then, a few kinds of Vastu are more important than most.

Here is a list of the most important kinds of Vastu:

Commercial Vastu: this includes Vastu for schools, hospitals, movie halls, chemist shops, commercial complexes, hotels, restaurants, hostels, offices, etc.

Spiritual Vastu: this includes Vastu for housewarming functions, astrology, temples, Dharamshala, and many other situations.

Residential Vastu: this includes Vastu for puja room, children’s room, kitchen, drawing room, living room, storeroom, and many other such situations.

Industrial Vastu: this consists of Vastu for the industry, the industrial plot, and the factory.

Vastu for daily life: this consists of situations such as marriage, happy life, a successful career, happiness, business-relate development, peace of mind, and many other such situations.

One must understand that the Vastu is consider the science of architecture as it is a vow about prosperity and happiness. However, if it comes down to the urban regions, the buildings and homes are construct without the Vastu consultation. Having the ideal Vastu expert in urban construction is almost impossible. If changes are not possible in the exterior, one must divert their attention to the interior to counter the negative elements. Each Vastu Dosh two tends to have multiple remedies for itself, and if it is follow properly, then it is bound to bring happiness, prosperity, and peace in the owners’ life.

Here are some of the remedies that one can try to extract the Vastu dosh from any place:

• Recitation of Vishnu Sahasranaam after one has taken a bath, facing in either the northeast or the eastern directions.
• Conduct a Rudra Puja each Monday and on new moon days, otherwise known as Amavasya.
• Put heavy kitchen items in the southwestern or the southern direction of the house.
• Ganesh Puja, Puja for Vastu Purush and Navagrah Shanti.
• Acquire a red color cloth and store the following items: a snake statuette made of silver, red coral, pearl, and copper, along with an idol of Vastu Purush.
• Certain images bring about Vastu Dosh, such as images of crying girls, war, owls, etc., and replace them with more positive images.
• If there happens to be a blank wall once you enter your house or your place of business, then place a picture of Lord Ganesha or of Shri Yantra.
