You must follow the instructions in the Settings app’s “Face ID & Passcode” section to activate this feature.

Once switched on, your Apple Watch unlocks your iPhone using skin contact verification when you unlock it with an unlocked iPhone or your Apple Watch passcode. When using Face ID to unlock your iPhone while using a mask, swipe up, it will successfully unlock the device after reading your face and authenticating with the Apple Watch.

2: Send a Picture from your Watch

Apple now allows customers to upload images directly from their Apple Watches with watchOS 8.

  • On the Apple Watch, open the Photos app.
  • Please tap on the picture you wish to share after choosing it.
  • Tap the tiny share icon in the image’s lower right corner.

The text size can be changed to suit your eyesight. On your Apple Watch, click the Settings button, then click Brightness & Text Size. Choose Text Size, then change the size to your choice.

8: Use your Watch to Operate Your Apple TV

If you lose your remote, you can still operate your Apple TV set-top box using the Remote app on your Apple Watch.

  • Press on the Digital Crown to access your app list or grid.
  • Find the “Remote” app.

9: You Can Create Your Text Message Replies

Use your iPhone to access the Apple Watch app. Next, choose Default Replies under Messages. You may add any preset messages you like and access them on your Watch by choosing Add Reply.

10: Place a Call on Hold

Choose Answer on iPhone from the incoming call display if you wish to put the caller on hold. This will give you time to find or get your iPhone; the caller will hear a sound indicating that they have been put on hold.
