A Collection of Promotional Pens From Banks

Having lived in Spain for nearly 20 years I have not needed a bank account in the UK until recently when I inherited a house which is now in the process of sale. laser engravable pens The last time I visited the UK I spent quite some time looking for a bank that offers all of the services that I require, and I now have a collection of promotional pens and various other gift incentives that were given to me in a bid to influence my decision to open a new account with them.

Some of the pens are cheap plastic versions and others are of real quality. They are all useful and will probably keep me in good supply for the next couple of years. The complications of opening a bank account for an expat such as me are many and it is no coincidence that the best quality pens have been given to me by banks that offer offshore facilities. These banks can afford to spend bucket loads of money on quality items because many of them require that you keep a balance of at least ₤ 5,000 in the account and that a minimum of ₤ 40,000 passes through the account annually.

In real terms this means that they are holding on to ₤ 5,000 for the privilege of offering you a banking facility. There is no interest payable to you on the ₤ 5,000 during the lifetime of the account. Other banks insist that you keep up to a ₤ 25,000 balance in the account. Will their quality promotional pens influence me to open an account with them? No – but I am certainly going to remember who they are. If I meet anyone who can afford to leave up to ₤ 25,000 in an account without gaining any interest I will probably suggest the services of some of these banks but I would be surprised if I ever do.

There are some really attractive pens in my collection that probably didn’t cost very much money at all but a lot of them are nice to write with. The have been designed to match the corporate colors of the banks and it is not really necessary to read the detail printed on the pens because you know by the colors who they are from. The distinctive blue of Barclays and the red of the Santander immediately identify these banks. It is useful to have their website addresses to hand when using the pens because it saves you looking them up in your address book or wading through brochures to find them.

I made a decision to open an account in the end with a bank that gave me two mid range promotional pens and also a printed USB flash drive which contained all the information relating to their online banking facilities. parker pen engraved I can use the USB and the pens in my working and personal life. It did impress me that the marketing department of the bank had clearly put great thought into giving their customers very practical, useful gifts. I made my decision to go with this bank because of the services that it offered but I was pleasantly surprised to receive the promotional pens and the USB. Every day when I use these items, I see the bank’s branding and am reminded of their excellent service and how helpful they were in providing a solution to my specific requirements.
