Team background

The Chicago Fire Football Club is a US-based professional soccer franchise originating from Chicago. The team participates in Major League Soccer (MLS), representing the league’s Eastern Conference. Joe Mansueto owns this 25-year-old club and also holds the Chairman position. He purchased the club in 2019. Chicago Fire FC is currently one of the most dominant soccer clubs in America. They have won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championships multiple times in 1998, 2000, 2003, and 2006.

Former Vincentian defender – Mr. Ezra Hendrickson functions as the head coach of the team. He got the role before the 2022 season and was appointed the role on 24th November 2021. His managerial record to date has netted the team 10 wins, 10 draws, and 15 losses out of a total of 35 games, with a win rate of around 30%.

3. Carlos Bocanegra – He made quite a name for himself in his four-year association with the club, as he helped the team to win two US Open Cups. He was famous for his resilient defense in his prime.
4. Lubos Kubik – His tremendous leadership skills along with his golden left foot, helped him score 15 goals & 24 assists throughout his career. He won the MLS “Defender of the Year” title in 1998.
5. Zach Thornton – Throughout his long career, consistency was never missing – this kept the team competitive. In 1998, he was awarded “Goalkeeper of the Year”.

The current “Home” stadium of the Chicago Fire team is a multi-purpose open-air stadium called – Soldier Field. It is located near the south side of Chicago, Illinois.

There’s also a kids-friendly Crib Club open to babies (0-2 years of age) as well as toddlers (3-4 years of age). The club offers personalization features specific to both babies & toddlers. Kids aged between 5-12 can also enter the kids club free of charge.
