Origin of the word “Solitaire”:-

The word “Solitaire” has undergone various developments over the years. Originally from the Latin “Solitarius”, later becoming “solitary” in French and English, we finally got the word “Solitaire” in the early 18th century. Solitary simply means to be alone, a single person. As Solitaire is fundamentally a single-player game, hence the implication of its meaning. Having been subjected to different developments, Solitaire came into existence.

Ultimate Goal of Solitaire:-

Done with the history lesson, let us now understand what to do to win the game. The aim of the game is to place the aces from the “Stock” or “Waste” to the 4 “Foundations” in the given order. After that, complete the Foundations by placing the thirteen cards in serial order on their respective positions, from Ace to King. In layman terms, the player is required to complete all the four suits.
