There are a few things to keep in mind when getting married at a courthouse

by Uneeb Khan

There are a few things to keep in mind when getting married at a courthouse. First, you’ll need to obtain a marriage license from the county clerk’s office. Secondly, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with the courthouse wedding coordinator. And finally, you’ll need to show up on your wedding day with two witnesses over the age of 18.

When it comes to obtaining a marriage license, you’ll need to bring along some identifying documents, like a driver’s license or passport, as well as proof of residency. You may also be required to show proof of blood tests and/or vaccinations. Once you have all the necessary documentation, head on down to the county clerk’s office and fill out an application.

The Oklahoma City Courthouse, located in downtown Oklahoma City, is the tallest building in the state of Oklahoma. The building is 30 stories tall and has a height of 377 feet (115 m). The courthouse was built in 1933 and is currently the county seat of Oklahoma County. The courthouse is also home to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Oklahoma Court of Appeals, and the Oklahoma County District Court. The building is located on a block that is bordered by Robinson Avenue to the north, Harvey Avenue to the south, Shartel Avenue to the east, and 4th Street to the west. The courthouse is accessible via the Robinson Avenue entrance.

The courthouse was built during the Great Depression as part of a public works project. Construction on the building began on September 1, 1931, and was completed on December 1, 1933. The cost of construction was $3.5 million (equivalent to $68 million in 2019). During construction, two workers were killed when an elevator shaft collapsed. The courthouse was dedicated on December 5, 1933. It supplanted the previous county seat, which was located in Guthrie, Oklahoma. At the time of its completion, it was the tallest building in Oklahoma City and remained so until 1964 when it was surpassed by OneOK Plaza. The courthouse has been remodeled several times over the years, with the most recent renovation being completed in 2002.
